The Sun’s out and so are we
It’s been all about the weather and who doesn’t love talking about the weather?! We equestrians have a particular interest in the weather as it is a deciding factor on many things for our equine friends and us, including our weekly riding plans! 😊 Certainly a mixed bag of sunshine and showers as well as thundery downpours this week but fortunately on Wednesday it was a ‘sun’s out and the smiles are big’ kind of … Continue reading →

Happy Birthday to a wonderful volunteer
It was a very Happy Birthday to our wonderful LFRDA volunteer, and friend, Jean who celebrated a special birthday last Saturday. Thanks to Judy for putting the celebration together at the stables after our riding sessions. It made a nice change for us to be spoiling Jean – she is usually the one spoiling us! 💜 The celebration continues, on May 06, when the volunteers are joining Jean for tea in Brighton and hopefully a … Continue reading →

The arena gallery was a bit more colourful yesterday morning with a rail of lovely preloved clothing. A big thank you to everyone that came to the session with clothing to sell, with all proceeds being kindly donated to the group. Quite a few items of ‘purple RDA kit’ were donated, it’s always good to extend the lifecycle of our clothing, and hopefully the buyer gets to love it as much as we did! 🙂 … Continue reading →

Many congratulations to Jess and Josh who got married last Saturday. They had the most beautiful wedding and having horses surrounding them in the fields was the icing on the cake. Jess looked every bit a dream in her stunning dress, although most of us are more used to seeing her in muddy riding boots when helping us at RDA! We couldn’t be happier for them and we wish them all the love and happiness … Continue reading →

Volunteering at RDA could be for you then. You can gain experience in horse care and rider assistance, as well as being around horses. But most of all, you can be part of changing someone’s life. “It’s the bigger picture – it’s not about the rosettes – it is about what you can do for someone to give them a better quality of life.” – Lesley, RDA Volunteer. If you would be interested in volunteering … Continue reading →
