Autumn at the stables is a favourite time of year. It’s a privilege to be based in the idyllic setting at Chestnuts, which makes for a truly restorative place to ride. We love to immerse ourselves in our surroundings that leave us in awe as the rich October colours come through making a stunning spectacle on the Downs. This week the riders spotted some buzzards in the sky doing a display flight, everyone thought their call was reminiscent of cats meowing. Apparently, they are the most common bird of prey in Europe. Some weeks we’ll be the ones that learn the most in the lessons!  Well done to our riders, warmest appreciation to the volunteers and praise to the most amazing group of horses you could ever wish to work with all of whom have loyal (and growing!) fan clubs. It’s wonderful to embrace the season’s magic and doesn’t nature have a way of bringing balance back and that’s perfect for any rider!
