We’ve reached the end of term and this week was a whirlwind of fun, battling through hailstorms one minute then soaking up the sun the next, they say it builds character (and a confused wardrobe!) Riders have demonstrated impressive progress and thanks to our support teams for making sessions possible, we know we say it often but we couldn’t do it without you. The horses have been exceptional, they carry far more than just … Continue reading →
Our tack sale was a resounding success, raising £316.00 which highlights the strong community support for RDA. We had some real high-quality tack that was in such good shape it sold itself! We always enjoy the buzzy atmosphere, a mix of people bargain hunting whilst catching up with horsey folk where everyone feels like old friends. A huge thank you to everyone who kept us so busy, we built some great connections and to those … Continue reading →

After a misty March morning a classic Spring turnaround saw the weather turning brighter giving the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun as well as the atmosphere of a day at the races. Thank you to the group’s wonderful team of volunteers, armed with buckets in hand, their … Continue reading →
Springtime is loading at the stables! The sun feels like it has a bit of weight and we’ve been enjoying some warmer rides. Weeks like this are a total win, being immersed in the South Downs is an incredible sensory experience and with all the calm energy we even had time for a little sun nap! Well done to all our riders, we’ve seen some serious progress in the riding arena. Many thanks to … Continue reading →
This week we’ve had a little RDA pause. We know it only feels like a minute ago we were packing away the Christmas decorations at the stables and then, all of a sudden, the February half term has sneaked up. Mid term breathers are a natural pause for recharging the batteries, especially for the horses who are currently having extra field time without having any dip in their elite 5 star level of care. Here’s … Continue reading →
We’ve been doing our best sun dances recently following a record breaking soggy start to 2026! On cue the sun made a welcome debut for our sessions this week and we left the rain, temporarily, at the stable door. The sun’s appearance was just right for shedding some layers and getting some green exercise outside in the gleaming winter sun which is so uplifting and brings out the best in everyone. The weather, the people, … Continue reading →

We made it through the January weather and came out the other side with a celebratory sigh! Endless horizontal rain made us truly grateful for our indoor arena keeping us cosy when we needed respite from the relentless rain. The past month … Continue reading →

What a brilliant way to end our best ever year! We’re still on a high from our sessions this week. Riders completed an obstacle course and showed off their skills, we’re not sure who was more competitive, the volunteers or the riders! Many thanks to the volunteers for their never ending purple spirit. The horses, looking very festive, did us proud. They were nothing short of outstanding, behaving beautifully throughout, and putting in some sparkling … Continue reading →
This set of stunning bespoke rosettes has arrived at HQ for our fun sessions next week – aren’t they lovely! Perfect for adding a fabulous festive touch…just waiting for someone special to win and take home.
Continue reading →What a contrast this week, after last week’s snow, as the late autumn weather decided to give us a bonus gift of wall to wall sunshine making it feel totally tropical. This left some of us feeling a little overdressed! Well done to all our riders and grateful thanks to our volunteers. A special shout out to the horses and ponies, who know their jobs inside out and have the unique ability to know what … Continue reading →
